SUMMER GLOW TUTORIAL
Wednesday, August 26, 2015This post is showing you how to create the perfect summer glow look, using the products above. This has become a favourite look for me over the summer as it can still be very natural due to the use of highlighter to give that dewy look.
The first step is to prep the skin after being cleansed and exfoliated and the product I will be using is the Nivea post shave balm, which makes the foundation stick to the skin to make it last longer. This is used all over and needs to be rubbed in until tacky on the skin.
After this has been done I then go in with the base which today will be the garnier by cream since the weather was nice I didn't want something heavy on my skin. This still give me colour as well as protecting my skin and hydration. This was well blended until the skin was even.
Then I went in to do the brows. I used two different products to complete this look. I first went in with an eyebrow stencil and the brow mascara by MUA this would fill in the brows as well as given an even shape. After this was done I used the collection brow palette to set the liquid on my brows. This ensured my brows had an equal shape and were filled in.
Next I did the eyes which had been primed with the urban decay primer potion in original. I then used the naked basics palette firstly using walk of shame to set the lid and even out the shade. Then going in with the naked 2 shade which is a grey toned brown all over the lid to create a light natural look. Then using the shade faint through the creased to define the lid.
Now the key part of this look is the highlight and contour I went in with the seventeen contour kit to hallow out my cheekbones and warm up the face. Then I went in with the balm Mary loumanizer highlighter and highlighter the cheek bones, brow bones, bridge of my nose, Cupid's bow and my forehead. After completing this I blended this all in to calm it down and to make it look equal and natural. Then I went over this highlight pattern with the MUA pink tone blush to give some colour to the highlight. I also went in with the urban decay powder blush in crush to give some colour to the apples of my cheeks.
The last part of this tutorial was using the Rimmel Kate moss lipstick in shade 103 to give a gorgeous natural pink shade to the lips. Then this completed the look.
